Getting Started

Getting Started is simple. There are a few ways to start CrossFitting at Ramsay. For those whom are new to CrossFit, they can attend our free assessment sessions that occur on Saturdays at 1pm or you can attend a BASICS session which you can find class times on the schedule.

For those whom have CrossFitted before, but are new to Ramsay, we offer a few different class options:

BASICS: CrossFit Fundamentals

Athletes are introduced to intense cardiovascular workouts with a strong emphasis on proper mechanics and increased mobility. This class replaces ON RAMP, but now allows members to remain in this program as long as they would like, or graduate to CrossFit-Prep or CrossFit.
Classes meet three times per week for a minimum of four weeks.

Functional Movements: Burpees, Box Jumps, Double Unders, Sit-Ups, Push Ups & Pull-ups

CrossFit Prep: CrossFit Fundamentals and Techniques

Athletes are introduced to more advanced movements with two sessions in addition to their BASICS teaching them all of the fundamental movements of CrossFit.

Functional Movements: General barbell strength training, Olympic lifting techniques, track workouts, gymnastic movements and calisthenic exercises.

CrossFit

This class is designed to incorporate all the functional movements and techniques from BASICS and CrossFit-Prep into one. Athletes are constantly refining their skills and capabilities to meet their goals. These workouts are more advanced; however can be scaled for your ability. This program does require the basic understanding of the CrossFit functional movements.

Functional Movements: Barbell strength training, Olympic lifting, track workouts, and more advanced gymnastic and calisthenic exercises.
